URGENT: Mac QuickBooks Update Deletes Your Desktop!

UPDATE: Intuit has corrected the problem that caused this on their server. They have a technote on the subject. We'll be removing this tip by the end of the day. It appears that no one else will be damaged by this bug, anyone who has already lost data from their desktop however may not have a good answer.

If you use QuickBooks 2006 or 2007 for the Mac don't launch it. There is a bug in the software update that gives you the error above. "Your hard drive does not have enough space." If you click OK, QuickBooks will delete your desktop folder!

If you know people that run their own businesses and use QuickBooks for Mac, do them a favor and warn them. Especially if they store documents on their desktop.
